Bridge Rose is an artist based in Dublin. She graduated with a B.A. in Visual Arts Practices from the Institute of Art, Design and Technology, Dún Laoghaire, in 2010. Working primarily in installation, performance and photography during her early practice, she made work centred on identity, authorship, and artistic labour. She later returned to education and shifted career paths, spending several years working in film, theatre, education and healthcare.
Returning to her art practice in 2020, she began painting as a way of reconnecting with creative expression before expanding into mixed media object making and sculpture. Her work often begins with specific experiences, observations, or emotional states and considers how they are shaped by wider social, cultural, and institutional structures. Recurring themes in her work include labour, value, visibility, social norms, and the ways cultural narratives shape perception, beliefs, and behaviour.
