Bridge Rose is an artist based in Dublin. She graduated with a B.A. in Visual Arts Practices from the Institute of Art, Design and Technology, Dún Laoghaire, in 2010. Working primarily in installation, performance and photography during her early practice, she made work centred on her identity as an artist and her relationship with process. She later returned to education and shifted career paths, spending several years working in film, theatre, education and healthcare.

Coming back to her art practice in 2020, she began painting as a way to reconnect with creative expression and gradually moved into mixed media object making, painting and sculpture. Her work navigates the space between the personal and the structural, exploring how individuals exist within, respond to, and are shaped by societal, cultural and institutional forces. She is interested in power structures, hegemony, labour, epistemology and absurdity, and often uses humour and satire to make complex or heavy ideas more accessible.
